What do you think the best pokemon game is?
Tell us what game. Why and when you first played it.
My favourite is Pokemon Fire Red because of its simple storyline and it was the first pokemon game i ever played properly.
I first played it in 2004 and i think it has excellent replay value and the Sevii Islands were very fun to play through.

Pokemon FireRed for me too!!

Pokemon Emerald.
Emerald was my first Pokemon game, and I haven't stopped loving not just Emerald but Hoenn in general. It was much more origanal than Johto was at being a new region and it really set the bar for the latter games, with like trio masters, a variation of differences between the prequels and itself, and more. What I like most is the unnatural occurance that happens only the generation's sequel, like in this case it is the clash between Groundon and Kyogre in which Rayquaza fly out of the Sootoplis skies like a badass and tells them STFU BOTH. It's a boss game in general.

Emerald was my second proper game.

My favourite game wouldve been Red or Blue if i played them first as i love the Retro music of the old games.
I also really want them to make a sequel to Red or Blue because they were such good games

Pokemon Red,
I started out with pokemon like this, a little boy awaiting a game, and the fact the his life was going to change. The game was breathtaking, you wouldn't mind the graphic or anything, but you'd play it for the sheer enjoyment for this rather amazing series. Pokémon Red was just a beast. I mean, how awesome does it feel, to catch a Pokémon for the first time? Just priceless. I still play it to this day, pure Nostalgia.

Does anyone think that the trio squeal in the previous generations be the remake from now on? EMERALD AND PLATINUM REMAKES FTW!
-
I hope. If we get either Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald remakes ill jizz my pants.
Also Ali my sealed copy of Pokemon Red came in the mail a couple days ago :)
-
Oh nice Archie :D

Hmmm well I've always loved the first Pokemon game I got, Leafgreen, in 2003 and just everything about it was great and shaped the way I looked at Pokemon but I'm gonna have to agree with Mario in saying Emerald was the best game. It was the second one I got and I just loved how green Hoenn was and just how it connected with nature. Also the variety in towns and scenery was great plus a great storyline. I think I got it in 2005.

Ruby was my first game, and I loved it! I think I managed over 250 hours when it tells you when you save, but I never fully completed the poked in the way of catching them all I think I ended up missing like 10 or so. My friend had them all apart from nosepass he just couldn't find him, he got so frustrated xD
-
Cool story!
250 hours is alot of time, You must have loved that game :)
