Does Sharpness increase Swords Exp?
« on: March 25, 2013, 10:57:36 pm »
So since the exp you get when training swords, is based off the damage you deal with the sword.  Does that mean if the damage is increased by an enchantment like Sharp, Bane, or, Smite.  Will the exp gained be increased also? What about Fire Aspect?

Another question.  Can you gain Archery exp based off the damage dealt with a bow in addition to distance?  Then if so, does Power, and Punch increase that exp gain as well?  Could Flame work too?

This is the same that goes for Axes?

You should do some field experimenting :)

Mcmmo experience is based off of hits, not damage, so it's probably better to train without enchants.

I think you need to do some experimenting too.

Archery xp is gained through distance from the target hit, not just hitting the target.  The swords skill says for gain xp: "Damage dealt to mobs"

You should do some field experimenting :)

Can someone just please tell me, to avoid me wasting my sharpness, smite,  bane, power, punch and Fire/Flame enchantments ><.

Yes the more damage the more exp so training with enchants would help you train faster ;)
