What on earth?!

So, I'm in a cave underground near bedrock. Nothing is around me. Something hits me and I fall into a nearby lava pit, losing 7 dias, 3 stacks cobble, 3 stacks redstone, 2 stacks coal, and a dia pick. I want my stuff refunded.
