I don't even know where to find them, all it does is change the pokeballs by your name. No special permissions, no special thread access. Probably should never have even added the option, same with the gym leaders. They change so often (gym leaders timing out, donors ranking up) that it's a hassle for little to no benefit on anyone's part. Hence why they are only checked rarely.
