Dirt was my idea. I don't see the problem. Inflation doesn't matter on a minecraft server. So what if diamond costs 5$ to buy or 50000$? Its just a number. Diamond price an iron will increase to compensate eventually, things will increase. It's just numbers that are increasing all together. Do you really care if a year ago it was cool to have 5000$ and now it's cool to have 50000000? We can just fluctuate house prices, impose taxes, decrease voting incentive, delete ores, ect. In reality these kind of issues you bring up are bad because we can't control the economy so heavily as in a game.
