Lag (say it's me but it's not)

Hello, I've been experiencing lag on this server. People are saying it's my computer but I don't think so. I play on many other servers and single player and I usually get great fps on the "no lag" servers and on ssp. I'd say get the nolag plugin to prevent this. Also it may be me and I don't know. But I'm just saying that I'd like to get this fixed. Thanks for reading!

We have nolagg, it IS just you. If /lag is lower than 17TPS. Then it IS the server.

Prodigy makes a good point, you can use the command /lag  to see how many Ticks Per Second the server is sending you. 20 is standard.

It is? I wasn't so sure about that, servers can be slow sometimes. Like ones with huge worlds and not much gigs to load the world at a fast rate that totally slows it down and causes lag.

Nope, it's completely client side. We don't even have that large of maps.

That was just an example. It can also be caused by the area of where the server is hosted and the clients connection to it.

Must be you, we use a dedi server to host the map on. You can try lowering you Minecraft's graphic settings or installing the Optifine mod.

I'm using spoutcraft, which already has the optifine mod installed. On another server I get around 43 fps but on here I get that too for a while but every now and then I get massive lag attacks and it get's lowered to like 10

I dunno about this. Your FPS can be affected by WE.
For example: When DJ remodelled Mt.Moon. It constantly decreased everybodies FPS. Im not sure if it still does.
If your FPS is low. Get optifine
