"I'm sorry, I can't let you through," the police officer on guard at the Saffron City gate told the trio," Team Rocket have taken over the whole city, it's too dangerous to go in."
"Well, ain't that a bumber," Gray replied.
Tene spotted a small building that said it was a tunnel under Saffron City to Vermilion City. The trio started to head towards it when Yob stated that he wanted to visit the daycare center but the others decided it was best for another day (they were too poor to pay for the fees).
The tunnel was long and dark, it seemed like it went on forever, like some creepy nightmare. By the time they reached Vermilion City Gray was complaining that his legs were so tired they'd collapse under him, he'd fall onto his neck and snap it into 463 pieces. Despite this, he seemed to regain all his energy when he spotted the gym.
"Gray, no offense but you have no where near enough experience to challenge it yet and two gym fights in two chapters is boring," Tene pointed out," I recommend training on the route east of here."
"Awwww, but Tennnneeee, I want toooo!"
"Nope. We're at least checking out that cruise ship first."
Gray unwillingly agreed and the trio headed towards the ship, docked in the city port. It was called the S.S.Anne and was huge. Yob thought that they had been working so hard and bribed the staff with licks of Paras to go on the cruise.
It was just a day long trip around the seas of Kanto but it was relaxing. Gray rode the water slide with Wartortle, Yob drank the ships supply of banana smoothies in one hour and Tene trained with Eevee on the practice courts.
Such a lovely cruise, what could go wrong...

"Ahh, I haven't had such a relaxing time since we got stuck in that snorlax's belly," Sweaty reminisced as she lay on the sun deck with Python and Meowth.
"Haha, good times!" Python replied passionately.
"Urr, you two are pathetic criminals!" Meowth pointed out," you're forgetting that we are on this cruise to steal Pokemon."
Sweaty and Python tried to ignore Meowth, closing their eyes and fake snoring, but Meowth unsheathed his claws and proceeded to swipe them both across the face. The next ten minutes consisted of them chasing Meowth over the deck before they eventually caught him and got revenge by dunking him in the pool.
Once they had finished they're arguing they got ready to enact their plan, placing a giant net over the training court and dropping it to capture all the Pokemon. As they were heading there though, Gray noticed them from the top of the water slide.

"Ok, what we didn't think about was getting above the training court without anyone noticing," Python realised.
"Hey, Team Rocket!" Gray yelled with Yob by his side and Tene coming over," Prepare to get your faces obliterated by my Pokemon!"
"What? You kids again, on this ship," Sweaty grunted," How dare you follow us! Go Ekans!"
Ekans came out, along with Python's Koffing. Gray responded by sending out Butterfry and Wartortle as Yob and Tene sent out all their Pokemon.
"Quick Wartortle! Use rapid spin!"
Wartortle started the spin and launched at Ekans but missed, went straight through all the floors, down into the engine room, destroying the engine and making a huge hole in the bottom of the ship.
"We'll that escalated quickly..." Python pointed out.
As the S.S.Anne started to sink the trio headed to the life boats with all the passengers. Gray had forgotten to return Wartortle who shot past, still in spin, and accidentally broke through all the life boats.
"Wartortle return, if you do anymore they might ban us from the cruise line."
After the guests and staff gave him a glare, they realised they'd have to float in the water and wait for the rescue ship to come.

After floating in the water on the ships remains for half an hour Gray stated that he was bored, sent out Wartortle and proceeded to ride it back towards Vermilion City, with Yob and Tene clinging onto the sides.
Team Rocket flew off in their balloon to avoid prosecution, though they doubted they were the ones the police would want most after the ship sank.
