New Regions

So my brain has been thinking away and I had an idea. What if the regions were separated in a way? I know there will be some division as far as the gyms and stuff goes but what if the chat was region based? Like base people would be able to talk to everyone in Kanto plus mods and maybe admins. Then the same as you continue up the chain of regions. Just an idea that could use a lot of refining.


So what are your guys thoughts? Good or bad idea? What would you change?

Would you be able to private message someone in another region?

I don't see the point. Its just chat channelling, but far more restrictive. Also, what of the wilderness world?

I thought of these two issues. I would say going to the PokeCenter would be a world chat region where you can hear and talk to everyone and the wild would be its own region.


Also maybe add group private messaging once your group is a high enough level.




The only real reason I even bring this up is because I remember the old days when the server was full and how hard following the chat was. Also it creates another reason to work towards getting leveled up and passing the gyms.

Wild has no pokemon centres. Group chat is a thing in mcmmo. I forget what the requirements for it was tho.

Wild would be its own region. PokeCenter would be able to chat with people there. And everyone there would be able to chat with eachother.


Keep in mind this wouldnt be very wise to implement right at the release of the new maps but if the server gets big again it may be something interesting to add then. But who know how long that will be once the maps are done.
