I think it fits better if we are the pokemon instead of the trainer because

1) trainers don't personally attack, or train themselves
2) currently no one has thought of (or brought to your guys' attention) a way to implement Pokemon Parties/ Owning
    Pokemon
3) this would be so fun!

Lol it would be PWND if I was wanting us to have parties, which I'm not......

1) reread. Your equips are your pokemon.
2) see 1)
3) anything can be fun, doesn't mean its possible.
