No, it modern Judiaism, we look towards being a more cultural group than a "religion". Culture and being a good person and following the rules is more important than what you believe in. But, like you said, the Torah is not perfect and there are horrible things. I like that, it makes it realistic. There is rape, there is hatred, there is murder. And by putting that in the Torah, it gives it reality. Like Martin Luther said there is no need to make religion so perfect and holy. Our world is imperfect. When I see a Church and it's decked out, I hate it. It distracts one from the teachings of Arceus and towards a materialistic world. I like my temple, it's relaitively small and the biggest thing is the case for the Torah.
