Donation Discounts

For once, Naruto had a good idea. Why don't once a month we have like a 10% or 25% sale on donations? That way we encourage more donators. Or we can do this:


Go up 1 donator rank- No discount
Go up 2 donator ranks- 10% discount
Go up 3 donator ranks- 20% discount
Go up 4 donator ranks- 30% discount

Can you give an example? My mind must be running too slowly to understand this properly.

Lets say I'm a non-donor, there's 4 different paths I can take:


I can choose to become a PokeFan and get no discount
I can choose to become a CoolTrainer and get a 10% discount
I can choose to become an AceDonor and get a 20% discount
or I can choose to become a DragonTamer and get a 30% discount.


Now lets say Alex is a PokeFan and he wants to donate again:


He can become a CoolTrainer for no discount
He can become an AceDonor for a 10% discount
or he can become a DragonTamer for a 20% discount




etc...

What if we just said:


Limited time only!

10% off all donor ranks!
(for the math challenged, this means)
Donator: 9$
VeteranDonator: 22.5 (or round down to 22)
AceDonator: 45$
MasterDonator: 90

Ok looking at those figures makes 10% seem puny, but something similar like a flat rate discount, instead of a rank-dependent one?

I'd say it would be smart to do this at the beginning week of each month because at the end of October, Halloween Money, end of november, Thanksgiving Money (for those lucky people who gets gifts on Thanksgiving, end of December, them loads of Christmas money. Seeing a pattern?

This idea, for 7 days, 21st through 28th, gained us 490.19 dollars. This is after you count the angry parent asking for a refund, and a couple of weirdly-cancelled transactions.

Probably not going to be so prolific next time, since Christmas is basically THE time to count on kids getting money.

lol no, it was just an email requesting that we honor the refund request. She wasnt mad at US
