excellent point bj. Maybe a public course with pvp disabled in the wild somwhere like oddy said with different courses and difficulties to help train?

What are the odds of trainers using it.

i dont know how many people would actually use it but it would be a smart alternative for practice and would benefit people if they do decide to use them and could ease the load off of gym leaders when theres not alot online
Where's the fire? What's the hurry about? You better cool it off before you burn it out.

Totally off topic but lets get naked because I simply need moar posts.  8)

Idk how many people would use it but it would atleast give a place for them to go to insted of this bs that mio and paradox said earlier, To freeze/reduce the stats of one skill so gym leaders get a handicap then force them to use that frozen low skill against noobs. Like thats going to make people want to be leaders. No I refuse to let that happen I would rather see the power level for trainers be put up but scale it somehow to gyms/gymleaders

Well if the parkour course is really THAT hard you will gain acrobatics from it.

I don't think the Kanto gyms should become any easier because I like having the challenge but the power level is annoying. The gyms are hard enough without them and it's annoying going back and forth through a sugar cane field just to get your herbalism up to get your power up. Maybe a time limit to stop users taking too long and creating a line or something even though that would be really annoying..........
I don't think gym leaders should be weakened for new users. It would be unfair on people who have trained heaps but can't defeat the leader but the newbies are passing through easy.
An obstacle training place sounds cool but shouldn't be pvp or one at a time so there's no lines but people can't kill each other.
Just my little input  :)

Hmmmmmm that does seem slitely problematic.......
Maybe there should be a standard power level requirement for every gym of like 100 just to stop that from happening.
As much as I don't like it a gym battle time requirement could stop someone who won't give up and is holding up the line....

Okay, we had a "small" admin meeting and kind of talked this out. We didn't establish rules, but we've come to a general consensus:

Mcmmo skills do NOT matter in fights. There are many documented battles in which someone with an extremely low mcmmo stat beats someone with an extremely high one. Because of this, you should not be prejudice to someone based on stat level rather than their true skill. Yes, it is annoying to have people challenge you, but as a gym leader, that is your job. Just because people ask help from me or other admins every waking moment on the server does not mean I say no to them because their new.
Sure, maybe they will come one the server for 10 minutes and never come back again, but I do my job because I like it and in the more professional way, it's my job. I only hope gym leaders have a similar feeling.

Paradox, that answered a question that we already knew the answer too. Did you guys even discuss the parkour course? Personally I think it is a great idea. Also, another suggestion, maybe you can add a mob killing bonus to gym leaders, this would encourage people too become a gym leader and it would keep gym leaders where they are. It dosen't even have to be that big of a mob bonus maybe just 0.50% ... better then nothing.

if you add a mob killing bonus to gym leaders that could deflate the benefit of donating though

That's why I said to make it a small bonus. The donator bonus is much bigger than .5% ... or atleast I think it is :P
