Which laptop should I buy?

Ok, I've been saving up for awhile to get a really good laptop because my current one is really old and lags heaps when I play Minecraft. Anyway, I want to get a high performing one that I can use for both gaming and doing work. Also stuff like having movies and music.
I have been considering two different laptops:


MacBook Pro
Alienware M14x




MacBook Pro:

Pros:

• Runs Apple
• Looks friendly
• Easy to use
• Long battery
• Has iTunes
• Can make iTunes apps
• Cheaper than Alienware
• Fast
• Long lifespan

Cons:

• Expensive
• Not all games run on Macs
• Have to buy the Mac version of games.

Alienware M14x:

Pros:

• Great for gaming
• Looks cool
• Flashing lights
• Really fast
• Runs really well

Cons:

• Runs windows
• Short battery life
• Loud
• Shorter lifespan
• Expensive

If you're not gonna be gaming much, MBP. Its great for doing work and managing your media, and has a few good games too.


Although, if you wanted to, you could dual boot OSX and Windows, or run it in a VM and get the best of both.

If you're not gonna be gaming much, MBP. Its great for doing work and managing your media, and has a few good games too.


Although, if you wanted to, you could dual boot OSX and Windows, or run it in a VM and get the best of both.

I agree that MBP are great and they run Apple which is good but gaming is one of the main reasons for getting a new laptop as my Dell Inspiron Mini can't run any games.
If I didn't want it for too much gaming then I'd defenatly get the Mac.

So why do people pay twelve hundred dollars for a Mac? I was just at the mall and I saw a iPad case, a case that you can open like a notebook, a case that to the eye looks pretty cheap, then when I looked at the sticker BAM! a $99.99 price tag. Why? Because it's made for an iDevice? Look for a Nexus 7/10 case or a Asus or whatever and tell me how much it costs. Even the shitty iPod touch gel cases are $30 retail. I got a way nicer case for my phone that isn't even old for $10 on ebay.

If you want to play minecraft, and I mean really play it. Then do yourself a favor and get a desktop. If not. Get a Dell
