Why is everyone wanting to learn ModDamage now >.>

Lots of the things on the server use ModDamage, so it's a good idea to learn it. I'm sure you'd had a huge edge on other people for getting mod if you're skilled in Java/ModDamage. At least what I think.

Well, its true, but theres not really much point learning how to use it if you have no use for it. As 1ce told me when I wanted to learn, 'You need to tell it what you want it to do' And really, I didn't know what I needed/wanted ModDamage for when I started, so I never really got a firm grasp of it. Now I actually have had reason to use it, and I'm gaining more. I'd love it if I knew java, but somehow I don't think I'd ever learn it >.<

Yeah, you need to tell it what to do. That's what programming is. If you don't know what to do, there's no point. Making simple programs though will give you a grasp of the basics. Java is a lot harder to learn than moddamge though, so I'd start with moddamge
