bukkit and pixelmon work together...

They don't. If it did, then no one would need the mod to join, and the server wouldn't break on start up. And it'd also be on http://dev.bukkit.org

If you're trying to figure out what they're tying to explain to you, they're saying that Pixelmon breaks a sizable amount of Bukkit plugins, especially custom made ones, like MobsInGrass.

So with Pixelmon, basically you're going to have to replace all the bukkit plugins with mods? Let's see
I'm not sure what Pixelmon has to offer other than Pokemon mobs so yeah.


-Money System
-Status Ailments? (poisened, sleeping, etc)
-NPCs?
-Pokedex Challenge (first 10 or w/e people to complete pokedex get a free mew? obviously when all 150 pokemon are made)
-Day/Night pokemon depending on minecraft world time
-Need pokemon with Surf to travel on water
-Need pokemon with HMs to continue through the map
-Remove jump ability?
-If a trainer kills a pokemon it dies forever?
-Difficult or very difficult like 1337 difficult challenges to reach legendaries
-One free masterball as always, 5$ irl for each masterball?
-Lose money when you lose battles
-Fly? Basically teleport only when you have a pokemon with HM(3)Fly
-I don't know how this can be implemented but whenever you defeat all 8 gyms, all 8 gyms get stronger each time up to a certain level. But only if you beat all 8 gyms. Ex. I can fight Brock again after defeating all 8 gyms and his onyx would be level 25, but some new player that never fought a gym can fight Brock and his Onyx is level 9.

Couple ideas, some are weird.

Hmm, heres a thought, setting spawn locations for all the pokemon mobs. Across 6 regions.

i got a idea (that you maybe think it's not good)! If you use gold nuggets as money in the shop and you get money by that pokemon's drop.

well noone seemed to listen to him when reiterating we needed ideas not just whether or not people thought it would be cool, so its a more direct approach, no need to be so cynical

Bladdy bladdy blah.
Lets get down to business.

I've been playing a Pixelmon server for the past week and I've got some ideas to throw into the ring.

1) As far as I know, PokeDollars do not work in SMP yet - What I've seen being used are Villagers who have been edited to trade resources with you in exchange for Emeralds (Emeralds are obtained by trading other items with them. Eg. Bones, Food, Enderpearls). It's not ideal but it's a start.
2) You want to keep a close eye on spawn rates - I've seen servers where there are so many Trainers swimming in a lake that it looks like Titanic survivors bobbing up and down.
3) There is no escaping the fact that there WILL be bugs that pop up. It's inevitable. So obviously there will be a need for close inspection to make sure the server is close-knit and that exploits aren't available to players.

Finally. I can guarantee that if this happens, it will become one of the most popular Pixelmon servers open to public. There are only a few Pixelmon servers around and not a single one of them uses an actual Region from Pokemon as their World Map. We would be the first Pixelmon server to offer a true PokeMinecraft experience.

Major note: I played with my friend for a bit, Pokedexes are a bit bugged in SMP. It was also stated on their wiki
