I agree that it was a mistake and stng should have the items. But you're forcing the trainer to suffer from a gym leader mistake. That's not fair. Stng loses nothing from not getting that stuff.

Im not making the trainer suffer, im saying the gym leader pay for his mistakes by returning the items from his own pocket

It's obvious that Stng should be giving back KABO00M's stuff. Xander made a simple mistake which many other people would have also made. Stng unfairly took advantage of his mistake.
Its like Xander mistakenly dropping a pound on the floor when paying for something. Stng is behind him, steals it in front of his face and leaves. Its theft.

Xander still should've been more careful. Bigger items have lost trading at spawn. I mean what's the worst he could have lost? Iron armor and a sword? I honestly think Stng should just keep the items and just have Xander replace it with like 1/2 stack of iron and be done with this.
