actualy no, seeing that screenshot tells me a lot, I know he's using Fulbright which helps while mining, at night, and in some gyms, I also see a radar which makes it impossible to catch him off guard, and as far as needing cold hard proof he's using certain aspects to cheat your not correct, reason enough to believe is enough considering if your smart its easy enough to cover your tracks
Oh I didn't notice his picture till now.

Yeah, my mistake.  I mistook Mad for Omastar for a second there, I don't know why.  Omastar is mad at me for killing all his wolves he put in MY VIP. :(.

Well.. If he could defend it, Full Bright can be done on any high tech computer. I can turn all the brightness settings on my computer to full, and get the same effect of Full Bright.
Radar, that does give someone an advantage.  However I have seen multiple times in chat, of people admitting to using a mini-map, which is the same as Radar, difference is, you can actually see the area around you, which gives you an even greater advantage then a Nodus Radar.  So if your going to punish him for that, then punish everyone who admitted to using a mini-map.

In that case of him being "smart enough to cover his tracks".  The server should have admin's that are "smart enough to catch him".  Correct?  Not trying to insult anyone. I think all the admin's are fine admin's. You can't just ban someone for having Nodus and not using it (He clearly is). It's like how a law goes.  It's not against the law to own a weapon, it's against the law to shoot one.  The same as the rule details already on the forums correct?

So to simplify what I said.
1. Anyone can use a Full Bright Hack, with the right computer, or computer understanding.
2. If you punish someone for Radar, then punish everyone who admitted to using mini-maps.
3. The server listed rules state that it's illegal to use a hack, not own a hack. (Following detail to the law, It's legal to own a weapon, but illegal to use one).

But hey, just an opinion.  Don't dwell heavily on it, I'm not trying to rack a ruckas, but rather create a wider understanding.  Giving people the idea of looking outside the box, so when a conclusion is made, about anything on all the Nodus users (which there are a lot, they are actually not hard to find, I see them every day) it's a fair one.

We as admins have caught many people using hacks and as far as "being smart enough to catch them" we'll usually we do however we aren't online 100% of the time and sometimes have to make judgement calls with the information we have available to us, hence rule 8 was born. As far as mini maps go, many have been punished for them, maps that only show lamdscape aren't a problem where as ones that show players and chests are, not exactly the easiest thing to see someone is using but people have been caught and punished for it.

Again I'll say I wasn't trying to insult anyone by saying "smart enough to catch them".  I'm sure you all are smart enough to catch them.  I'm just saying if someone is smart enough to cover their tracks against the admin, beyond the admin being able to catch them.  Then that admin should be replaced with one that is smarter then the one who covered their tracks.

I have yet to find a mini-map that didn't show player locations.  Though just cause I have not seen or heard tell of one that doesn't. Doesn't mean one does exist.  I can just safely assume most do show player locations.

Nodus doesn't show chests unless you turn on the chestfinder hack, and if I had that on, then all the chests would have a green matrix like box around them.

In this case, nodus would be like a fully automatic assault rifle-illegal to own. A legal handgun might be... optifine? Meh

Then that should be stated in the rules.

Catching 100% of rule breakers is unrealistic at the moment (unless my next move works which hass about a 50% chance of working) as an admin of another server you should know that unless its a low population server or you're a fool who doesn't realize prople get away with things sometimes(not often at all but sometimes) and if you think admins should lose a position for that well the server would be a very unstable place, furthermore I madeno mention of nodus chest finder I was speaking of chests on mini maps, but since we're on the subject you cannot deny its easy to turn off for a screen shot, what reason do I have to believe nodus users aren't doing that?

Oddy, I never used nodus before. I took my laptop over to my friends house and we are having a sleep over. He said he was going to mod my minecraft so I let him. He put in nodus and I didn't know how to use it. He said those are the things he uses, and that they a safe to use. I honestly did not know how to turn them off, on, or what they even did(besides the radar because that is very easy to tell what it does).

at the moment I want to believe you due to the fact you have the full GUI just chilling up there in your screen shot which is nodus no no number 1, which makes me think you really didnt know what you had, and want to tell you to get rid of it and be done with it, but that's just me need to talk to other admins, and as you know, ignorance isn't always a valid excuse unfortunatly

Not meaning to sound like you have to catch 100% of rule breakers all the time.  I know people get away with things SOMETIMES.  What I mean is that as an admin you should be able to catch the person doing wrong sometimes.  There is a saying, "you can rob a bank once, and get away with it, but rob a bank twice, and you get the punishment".

I didn't know that most mini-maps had chest finders? The ones that I found anyways didn't.  They all just had the ability to see everyone's positions.

Yes there is a Chestfinder hack on Nodus.  You don't have a reason to believe that they are not using it.  However don't exclude you have a reason that they are.  To catch someone using Chestfinder, is very simple.  If your watching over someone, for example in wild.  They are walking/running while looking down (or relativly close), that is an obvious reason to follow them under the suspesion of use of a hack.  If they stop abruptly and dig straight down into a chest (would be even better if when they stop and dig straight down, and you have nodus, you activate the xray and can see them dig to the chest), then they are using a hack.  However for it doing just once can't even be a deffinite reason to ban someone.  Cause there is always the point of random chance.  However if they then proceed to dig or go directly to another chest, and then a third. Then they are more likely to be hacking.

I'm just saying that if AN ADMIN (not saying you, or any of this server), is just banning people for the possibilty of breaking the rules, then everyone should be banned.  Everyone who is a part of a server has the possiblity of breaking the rules, at all times.  Even with or without proof of Nodus being on the computer, just cause Nodus is so popularly known, and used.

When I ban people as an admin. I ban them for breaking a rule.  Not when I think they can break a rule, and with a no hacking rule stated like the one on here, it's saying the same thing.  I assumed, and probably others assumed they would be treated the same way.

We don't just go banning people for shits and gigs, if we are going to ban someone there will be a just reason for it, nodus, serves two purposes, hacking, and verifying hackers, there's no other reason to have it installed, if we see people with it why should we believe its not for use and just for show? And even still we don't ban people the instant we see it as you have seen from other issues WE ASK what the purpose you have it is, furthermore, most cases end with a warning, please uninstall or disable when you're on our server

I will disable it now that I know that there is an unwritten rule to not having it installed.  I already stated why I have it, and I don't use it on the server.  I also said that it can be used for other things, then just cheating at the game.  The only reason why I left mine on is cause the rule stated that using a hack is a bannable offense, not having a hack client.

Don't forget it makes for an easy to use video help client.  A few (not many though cause it is mainly for hacking a server), is great for recording video.

I was just defending Kab (before I saw the photo), cause I will help defend anyone the same how I would want to be treated.  I really don't mean any offense, so please don't take any offense to anything I've said. I still love you oddy :D.

P.S Though even with Kab's photo the only thing he used was Full Bright, which could just be as easily done with a good computer turned high with brightness settings (like mine).

I think they're hallucinating. Either they didn't leave their dogs there, some bug caused them to disappear or they're high.

Who the fuck invented that...

Oh I do. And I give tene shit for having multiple mods all the time.
