DOUBLE battle gyms

i think that there should be gyms with 2 pairs of leaders that require 2 challengers to battle but if the trainer is by himeself only one leader will battle and if there aren't enough leaders another leader from the same region could sub and if they win the leader from the double gym could reward the badge

thIs would be AWESOME for hoenn.

and being a double battle gym  could be a leaders choice upon hire

some gyms do pair battles, but arent required. My take on it; bad idea.

Some gyms allow double battles like i think Cerulean does but I dont know for sure

There's a bunch of problems there, I'll just list them;
1)Both leaders must be on at the same time.
2)Most gym courses are built for one player to run through at a time.
3)Some people prefer to play on their own, so they could never challenge.
4)Somebody with a level 1000 stat could have weaker people pay them to beat the gym with them, thus ruining the economy even more.

cerulean did it where since they where a team, whichever team is killed first (the gym leaders, or the challengers) that decides the outcome regardless of which member from either team gets killed from either team so if there are any leaders left and both challengers are dead, they lose but if the leaders are dead and challengers are alive then they win and get the badges. Out of the few people that actually did the double team, they seemed to like it a lot cause it added a new aspect to gym fights so yeah

oh for okie and his thing about the person with 1000 stats we made it so that it was required that both challengers do not have the badge but if the challenger happens to find a vet player with good stats to challenge it was just good judgement on the player to use something called strategy

I have no problem allowing a 4-person battle and whatnot. I do have a problem with making it required. It makes the already difficult to find a gymleader on 10x harder. Also, it does not "ruin the economy". It actually does nothing to the economy in any way, shape or form.

Maybe not the economy, but definitely the gameplay experience on the server. Because that would mean for weaker players that whenever they want to challenge, they would have to pay in order to have a duo partner, thus ruining the gameplay experience. If okie was trying to say this, I totally agree. And I support what para said, that Its not required to do a Duo battle.

I don't agree at all. You do not HAVE to pay for a duopartner, you can always find another person who wants to challenge that gym and do it with them. Like I said, it would NOT be required, only for fun. And I would limit this only to one gym per region so that the entire "Have a friend win all the battles for me" wouldn't be a problem.

What? In game, Marsh Badge isn't a double battle... Only battles like that have been Mossdeep City in Hoenn and Striaton City in Unova.
