Well, ever since the death messaging systems there are no ties. The first person to die is the loser, and the second person to die wins if a tie like this happens, so no, he doesn't have to give you the badge.

I believe you either misread the post, or don't understand the death messaging system. The death messaging system rounds down in the case of a decimal value of hearts, so Crimson had half a heart when he killed Cadeboom, so this is guaranteed to not be a tie.

Death messages can't appear at the same time, otherwise they'd appear in the same line, which is impossible.

Not anymore, it gives the exact hearts. So if it said cadeboom was killed by crimsonpause who had 0.0 hearts remaining, he most likely died first than killed cadeboom after. However, you will need a screenshot to prove that is what happened.
