Clash of Clans
« on: July 23, 2013, 05:37:46 pm »
hey everyone! I'm thinking about making a Clash of Clans clan with just people from the Pokemon server in it. if you would like to join, comment on this with your clash of clans name, current rank, amt of trophies, and if you would like to be in the clan.

Thanks!

The game is on my phone, because my brother uses it. Is it any good?

It's a game for iPhone/iPod/iPad. You start of w/ a small "village" and you have to work your town hall up level by level. When you upgrade your town hall you unlock the possibilities of getting more defenses such as cannons and archer towers and wizard towers to protect your town. (There are more defenses than that). You also build up an army. With this army, you attack other villages, and if you succede in your attacks, you gain both gold and elixir (the currency in game). Once you gain 40,000 gold, you can rebuild your "broken" clan tower and join any clan you would like to. Your clan can send you troops if you need them, and more. You'll understand it better if you actually play it, so heres the iTunes link: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/clash-of-clans/id529479190?mt=8

It sounds like a mixture of Trade Nations and Battle Nations.

I tried it out and it just seemed like one of those games you have to spend a lot of money later on to get anything done.

Pay to win? Or just endless grinding to get in game money?

It's a game where you have to build structures and stuff mostly. Structures take a certain amount of IRL time to be built. Some of them can take hours and days to be built. You can rush them to be built immediately for a certain amount of coins. To get these coins, you have to pay. I don't really know what you call that. Not pay to win really but no grinding. Just a money trap.

exactly right, para you know me, and that I don't mind throwing out real money for a "free" game but this was obvious you would have to shell out a lot to get anywhere, it ranks who you can raid vs who can raid your village off experience. It's obvious people have payed a lot to get their villages and troops, to the point that if you weren't willing to spend a lot off money you would be forever behind
Where's the fire? What's the hurry about? You better cool it off before you burn it out.
