If you have to go, pay them the $500, tell them and leave. If they haven't entered the gym, then just leave, if they're not at the gym and haven't challenged.

Why would a "funchallenge" be illegal though? But yes, they would be nerfed. (I've been on the forums way too much.)

They would be illegal because people that WANT the badge have to wait until a person finished their fun challenge and it wastes time.  It's basically taking away a person's chance to get the badge because another person who doesn't even need the badge is challenging.
