Catching pokemon!!...

Ok Il admit it right at the start of this topic this is more of a rant than a problem but I think this issue is really taking the fun out of the server heres what happened.

I see a wild eevee level 12 and want to catch it Ive got 5 pokeballs on me so I use my level 14 oddish to get its health almost 0 and I start throwing all my pokeballs at it to no sucess.

I really wanted to catch it as im trying to get all the eeveelutions ... as everyone does, so I click out of minecraft and restart then after logging in again I get 13 normal pokeballs and 2 greatballs and try again I get its health down to almost 0 and throw everything I have at it....... FUUUUU still cant catch it.

I havent really played much of the main pokemon games on nintendo ds but I am pretty sure that it isnt that difficult to catch a low level pokemon this is really anoyying I dont wanna have to resort to using my only masterball just to catch a tiny little wild pokemon (kudos to anyone whos caught a legandary with a standard pokeball cus blimey I wouldnt have any chance of catching one with my luck without a masterball)

Surely there is a bug with pixelmon and the catchrate statistics with pokeballs as this is just getting ridiculous.

I was enjoying the server until this happened now i don't see the point in playing.

Don't bother the admins with this, its a pixelmon bug. Catch rates are completely broken and only the devs can fix it. (afaik)

Dude, it's luck. I once spent 28 Pokeballs trying to capture a Lapras. Deal with it

Catch rates aren't broken, you're just extremely unlucky. Not something that we can modify either.

If you quit because you couldn't catch an Eevee, then you have no hope on the server. Pixelmon is full of bugs and once you start experiencing those, you won't care so much about the catch rates. Also, PokéBalls aren't expensive.

PS. I catch all my legendaries Pokémon in the games with PokéBalls

In the games, I catch mine at night with dusk balls or timer balls, depending on how long the battle is taking or if it's night.

I have managed to catch eevees with ultra balls at full health.

Don't even battle eevees walk up throw a pokeball if I catch of cool if not it dies, caught about 4 this way and only had 4 get away

Maybie I should just hire a bunch of henchmen to catch pokemon for me and buy the pokemon off them

Knowing my luck if i spotted a mew out there and used a masterball I wonder what would happen maybie an easter egg which would be coded in by the pixelmon developers in which the mew escapes then flips me off as it flys away.

But for now I think Il stick with the pvp server for a little longer by the way hows the issue with mcmmo holding out?

Dw Rockittt, I once tried to catch a lvl 14 Charmander on 1 HP and lost a couple ultra/great/pokeballs. On the other hand it only took me two ultraballs to catch a dratini on half health.

This happened to me once.


I was playing Pokemon Emerald.


Swablu = 27 Ultra balls to catch.


Registeel = 1 Pokeball.


Me: I hate life...
