Fourth Pokemon X/Y Tournament!


Welcome to the 4th Pokemon tournament! Elimination!

Rules:

• Single battle
• If a Pokemon is knocked-out it can no longer be used in the tournament. (E.g. If you beat an opponent but only have four Pokemon left then you can only use those four in the next round.)
• No legendaries
• Normal rules-all Pokemon set to lvl 50.
• No hacked Pokemon (duh)
• No more than one of the same Pokemon.
• Pokemon from outside of Kalos are allowed.
• No changing your team throughout the tournament. Who you sign-up with is who you're stuck with. Changes can only be made before your first battle and you have to tell me.
• No changing held items throughout the tournament.
• If you magically happen to 'accidentally' disconnect near the end of the battle when you're loosing, you'll probably be DQd instead of being allowed a rematch. It's unfair to uncover your opponent's strategy then do this.
• If you win by your opponent forfeiting in the first round then you must eliminate two members of your choice from your team and in the later rounds, only one. This is to keep people who win by forfeit from being OP.

So the twist is that if you're Pokemon is knocked out it's eliminated from the competition and cannot be replaced. This means trainers will have to try and conserve their strongest teammates early on.

By outside of Kalos, do you mean Kalos born (ie. bred in Kalos) or Kalos native (In the Kalos Dex)

I just mean that they can be Pokemon transferred from past games, not just Kalos natives.

I kinda like how this is sort of a Nuzlocke tourney with that if a Pokemon faints, you cant use it again. Would be cool if another rule was you can only Pokemon from a different area (maybe meaning each 6 Pokemon have to be from different regions).

But maybe we can revive one pokemon from our team every game we win. The problem I see with your current rules is that people that have all but one pokemon "dead," will have a harder time battling someone with four pokemon. So maybe add a rule that can balance teams out.

Yeah but to avoid that you need to try and conserve your teammates in the first round. Each member has the same chance of loosing pokemon as the others.

Another problem with it is that some people might have 1 Pokemon they had that died and they pretend its another one and the opposition will forget about it, even if they remember, there is no way to prove it. Also, some people might report the wrong score and pretend that only 2 Pokemon died instead of 4 (hypothetically). However, I like Tymacs idea.

I doubt the people who loose are gonna let the people who win get away with lying about how many Pokemon remain. The results are posted on this thread which is a public place.

Well then it's a rule that you have to keep it. Also, why would they? Like I said above, the loser isn't going to let the winner get away with cheating. And if they forget to save the video then that's their own fault.

Alright, my main problem is that one guy just accidentally forgets to save the video and then there will be alot of arguments.

If one person forgets, no issue if the other doesn't.
