Price of homes
« on: March 20, 2012, 08:10:50 pm »
Now lets say you are up to maybe 10,000 Poke Dollars and your thinking.....

"Man I don't have a home yet! Too many raids in this wild"

You switch to different wilds MANY times but no luck in safekeeping your items. So you decide to buy a home. But you don't know how to calculate how much one is. No admins are on and only newbies. You decide to wait but no luck.

Calculating how much a home costs is VERY simple. All you need to do is find the dimensions of the home.

The equation goes......

L*W*150=T

L=Length W=Width 150=Price per block and T=Total Cost

So if you would like to purchase an 8x6 home, the cost would be 7200.

This guide is used just to help new player figure out how to find the costs of their possible house choices!

Please! If there are any mistakes in this guide post a comment below and I will fix it ASAP.

Thanks for reading!

We priced all the houses in Johto, I believe, so this isn't too needed. But thanks :)

This applies to Kanto Homes then?

Props to Prodigy39 or what not for the equation.

@Paradox So are we gonna use an equation for Johto? Or is it gonna be like preset prices?

Will this stay the same when the other regions come out? I see that some houses in Unova will be multistorey

i just read this, and if you want an accurate price, seeing as how the house is 3 dimensional, wouldnt you want to find the surface area? because prod's equation would only find the cost for 1 side of the house, not the whole house. so wouldnt the proper equation be (2a+2b+c)*150=T?

A= side of house
B= side of house (more different)
C= roof
by the way arent houses priced by how many surface blocks there are?
One night i was laying on my bed looking up at the stars and thinking "WHERE THE HECK DID MY ROOF GO?!?!?!"

No cause that would be quite a bit of money would it not? If a roof has 56 blocks and one side had 30 you would be paying over 5k which is more than the average house. Honestly its only the AREA LxW

Unova and Sinnoh will have multi storey buildings, if the house is 8x6 from bottom to top (the flooring) and it is 3 storeys high, is it 8*6*150*3?

The price is determined by floor count. Not by anything above ground.
Reason: The area below the surface far out counts anything above ground, unless the house is 60 blocks tall. Not going to happen soon. Hence it only being priced by floor.
