We won't need to make another Hoenn. This is a remake game, not a sequel to another that showcases this region.
Like with LG/FR and Hg/SS, GameFreak will make it as much like the original as possible, we might just have to change a few house designs and add some new locations. To make a Hoenn 2 would mean we should make a R/B version on Kanto and a G/S version of Johto despite our current versions.
Kanto 2 was set 2 years later and there was a lot of change to the routes and towns.

I actually heard it would be similar to Black and White 2 with new towns and stuff... But if it is like Black and White two, I presume we will make it again...

They should make it like the actual Ruby and Sapphire hence that it's a remake.

I don't believe it has yet been said it is a remake, although it is implied. BUT HOENN IN 3D MIGHT MAKE ME ENJOY THE REGION A BIT MORE. I still haven't completed my Emerald game...
