Ok, so you all know that I have been gone right? Well, for the past few days, this elite four was in Florida for Spring Break! It was awesome because we did things that my family would have never done without Dad getting us to do it! However, our I do have some tales to tell coming back from there:
Night 1: Steaming Hot HotelsSo, it is 10:30 PM in Florida at the Tampa Bay airport. We are all tired because we didn't fall asleep on the plane right? Well, we are ready to go to bed and sleep in our Holiday Inn overlooking the beach, and we pick up our Hertz rental. Driving along for another hour, we are now the verge of collapsing. Dad finally gets us the Holiday Inn, we all get out, and head inside the hotel. It wasn't have bad; it was casual and the lobby was small with only a entrance, a couch and a TV, and a small buffet-dining room. Each side of the hallway were the rooms and vending machines, so I got curious and decided to look around. It wasn't within 5 steps of me walking away from the lobby that I hear the receptionist and Dad both going out on each other. As soon as I walked into the lobby again, my Mum pulled me onto the couch and she tells me to just wait. Another 45 minutes latter, Dad and the receptionist come to a stop between arguing and he walks over to us. He says this hotel didn't have a room reserved for us, and that he knows that we should because the receptionist even told Dad that they did have a reservation for us, but it was only for Sunday. 
Anyways, we all cram back into the car once again to find the next nearest Holiday Inn. I was tired that I almost left my suitcase behind. Silly me. It is now 12:55 at night when we FINALLY reached the next hotel. The receptionist at this Holiday tells us that we were in luck as there was one room left for us on the second floor. With glorious relief, we all walked inside. That's were the joy stopped, as once we walked in one step, there is a huge gaping hole in the wall with the window. If it wasn't bad enough that we came to Florida so late, found out that our original hotel never had reserved, and that we were non-stop wanting to warp ourselves in a nice blanket and let our trip start off great in the morning,
WE WERE GIVEN A HOTEL ROOM AT 1:00 AM AT NIGHT IN A HOTEL AN HOUR AWAY FROM OUR ORIGINAL DESTINATION WITH NO FREAKING AIR-CONDITIONER. 
Yup.
Continuing on, we could not believe our eyes:
WHO STEALS A HOTEL AIR-CONDITIONER? Dad called the lobby to see what the hell happened to it. It turned out they had no idea what happened to it too, and they were willing to call the cops. At that late hour, Dad had to refuse. We were only getting 5 hours of sleep, because 6:00 in the morning is when we needed to be off for our fist experience. So, the four us, two in each bed, all sleep sweating off a few pounds in the night trying to fall asleep for the next day. Ironic that me and my little brother were cold all night while my parents were in somewhat of a toaster situation. Did I mention the night stay was free because it was missing? At least that was a bonus. :P
