Gyms and such
« on: April 02, 2012, 11:40:46 pm »
As of the recent admin meeting gyms can only do this.

Iron Armor or lower.

Not

Iron chest piece ONLY

Or

Iron weapons only

Not

Iron sword only.

Parm is a prime example of who has not abided to these new founded rules. But for my gym Equin0x has kept Unarmed only and iron armor or lower I just wanted to know if that was fine.

Parm: Runs Iron Armor and STONE SWORD ONLY.

I hope my gym can run this unarmed only and such

Yup Ichi, and as Ice mentioned in the latest Admin Meeting post - Rigby and Oddy decide the PvP aspects of the server.

From what I gathered, and talking with you on server, you're right, no more discriminating specific challenges. So, like you said, can't say Iron Chest, Stone Sword. You can say, you may wear one piece of iron armor or lower (leather or naked), and can use a Stone Weapon or lower (So unarmed if you wish, or bows too).

I'm running Fuchsia currently like that, and using the more... diversified arena that was created from before. I say you may wear up to iron armor, and may use a stone weapon or below, which means unarmed or bow if you wish, no enchants (saying no enchants is still fair). So Ice's point was, if someone wants to come in naked and give it a shot swinging fists, they can :)

Any other input or considerations Ice? Specifically for bow or unarmed only gyms? If they say max weapon type is bow, can they use unarmed, or if they say max unarmed, can they use a bow?

Thanks admins.

As for this part, this is exactly what I wanted Oddy and Rigby to define. I don't know exactly how op the options are, they'd know better than me.

I don't do the one piece of iron armor and stone sword anymore, now its stone weapon, iron armor or lower, and apparently now, unarmed. If I need to look at the admin meetings, where do I go? And if possible, could i get a link, or just where to go?

I havnt had the chance to speak to Rigby about this, In my personal Oppinion i believe Unarmed is the equivalant to iron and should be allowed in Iron or lower gyms, i also would say the same about a bow, even though it'd probably be foolish to bring a melee weapon into an arena designed for a bow fight it hits about as hard as iron weapons.
Where's the fire? What's the hurry about? You better cool it off before you burn it out.
